Dr. Gebali is a name synonymous with musical excellence and innovation in the Middle East and beyond. A prolific composer, guitarist, melodist, arranger, sound engineer, producer, and publisher, Dr. Gebali’s journey through the music industry spans decades, leaving an indelible mark on countless successful projects.
Born in Egypt, Dr. Gebali graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1986. His musical prowess was evident early on, as he represented Egypt in Europe and Canada after winning first place for several consecutive years as a guitarist and composer at university-level competitions across Egypt from 1982-1985.
Professional Milestones:
1986-1989: Early Career & Americana Production: Dr. Gebali launched his professional career immediately after graduation, joining Americana Tarek Nour. Here, he crafted music for commercials and arranged music for some of the most prominent albums of the time, including hits for Simone like “Tani Tani Tani,” “Lalaloo,” “El Kalb Hazou,” “El Sahra Te7la,” “Cocktail Aghani Min Dahab,” and the Americana Show band’s “Halawet Shamsna.”
1990-2000: Founding Rock Arab & Album Success: Venturing independently, Dr. Gebali founded Rock Arab in 1990. Under this banner, he released numerous acclaimed albums, showcasing his diverse talents:

- Gebali 2000 During this period, he also composed and arranged music for Nelly’s renowned “Fawazir” riddles for three consecutive years, Nadine and Awail Nour’s “Jiran El Hana” Fawazir, and Dubai’s Fawazir featuring Younes Shalaby and Dalal Abdel Aziz. His distinctive touch was also prevalent in most songs and operettas for ART Kids channel, with lyrics by Bahaa Jaheen and others.
Dr. Gebali’s compositions and arrangements were highly sought after for major commercial advertisements by leading agencies such as TN Communication, Impact BBDO, Strategy, Leo Burnett, TMI, LOOK, ARA, Nile Production, Mass, and Synergy, leaving his clear imprint on the music and voice-over landscape.
2001-2022: Talent Discovery & Studio Expansion: Dr. Gebali played a pivotal role as a music arranger and producer for four consecutive seasons of “Stars Maker – Same’na Sawtek,” the first talent discovery program in the Arab world, with all production executed in his private studio. He also established Gebali Music Studio in Beirut (Ras El Nabeh), operating for three years. His new company, Gebali Music, produced numerous visual and audio works for artists from Egypt and beyond, including Taha Suleiman from Sudan and Iqbal El Jimni from Tunisia. Additionally, his studio has been instrumental in producing numerous promotional and documentary films in Egypt.
Dr. Gebali’s musical compositions and albums are available on major digital music stores, a testament to his continued creative output. He possesses one of the largest private sound studios, a state-of-the-art shooting plateau, comprehensive cinematic production equipment, external shooting units, and editing facilities in the region, ensuring unparalleled production quality.
